Thomas Makes the Call

Mississippi State held it’s first Junior Day on Saturday and it proved to be a very successful one.  The Bulldogs were able to get two verbal pledges from two of the top athletes in the south.

One of those pledges came from the Peach State as Mississippi State was able to snag 2015 Baldwin High School (Milledgeville) running back Kentavious Thomas.  Thomas who is ranked 4 Stars by 247 sports, is a 5 foot 11  205 pound athlete that could be a difference maker for the Bulldogs in their running game in a few years.

Thomas reports having a great time at the Bulldogs Junior Day.  That combined with the love he received from them made it time to make the call.

“It was great,” said Thomas.  It was the best Junior Day that I have ever had.

“Mississippi State was the first school to offer me so I knew I was good with them.  Josh Robinson showed me a good time when I was up there and I liked the school.  They make sure you get help in the classroom as well as the football field.

“Coach Mullen said he was very glad to have me in the family.”

Thomas plans on using his commitment the best way he knows how.   He is going to help the Bulldogs recruit an All Star class to Starkville.

“I am going to help them in any way that I can,” he said.  “The best way I can.  I really do not know a lot of other guys, because I just focus on making me the best player that I can be.  But I am going to start talking to all the people in my class.”
