Surprises for 2014?

If you were listening to Kentucky Sports Radio earlier today, you would’ve heard Matt Jones say he thinks there could be a HUGE surprise for Kentucky’s 2014 class. So lets look at the possibilities:

Someone could decommit and flip. If we know anything about the 2014 class, its that we should be shocked by NOTHING.

Dante Exum could shock everyone and go to college. ESPN says he is”’50/50″ on whether or not to enroll. His 5 finalists are Kentucky, North Carolina, Indiana, Michigan, and Oregon. He said he plans to take visits to the schools after he graduates from high school.

Someone from the 2015 class could reclassify. A possibility that really stands out is Charles Matthews, a shooting guard out of Chicago who has interest from Duke, Kansas, Michigan State and many others . He would be eligible for the 2014 NBA draft.

One thing we can count out is the Tyus Jones/ Jahlil Okafor package deal. As much as some of us might want it, it is not happening. Cal recruited Mudiay over Tyus which backfired but we only ended up with one of the best passers in the class, Tyler Ulis. This package deal is looking like it will be Kansas or Duke.

All of these possibilies are slim, but if one of them does happen, all of the “Kentucky’s 2014 class will not be elite” sayings will be put to rest.
