School location; is playing closer to home a big deal?

No playing close to home is not a big deal to me.

Early playing time, is that important?

I want to play early wherever I go and it is important to me because I want to come in and make an impact.

Have you been invited to any JrDays or combines?

I have been invited to every school that has offered me. I have also been invited to the Rivals Combine and The Opening Nike Camp.

Who are you receiving mail from? Who’s recruiting you?

I have been offered from: Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Alabama, Texas A&M, Texas, NebraskaTulsa, Memphis, Utah, Arizona State, Kansas State, North Carolina, & Washington State.

What stands out about your favorites?

I am still open right now and I have not ruled out any colleges. I plan on taking visits first before I think about committing.

Timeframe on a college choice?

I’m thinking about committing sometime during the season or even right before the season starts.

Will you take all your official visits?

I plan on taking all of my official visits.

Will you graduate early?

This is something that I have thought of, but I think I am going to stay because I want to enjoy high school it while it lasts.

Post-season accolades? Stats?

I was announced Junior of the Year in Oklahoma. I ended my junior season with 74 tackles, three INTs, and one forced fumble.

Any unofficial visits?

I have gotten a chance to visit Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.

What are your camp plans for the summer?

I plan on going to the Rivals Challenge Camp and to The Nike Opening. It will depend on my AAU basketball schedule if I get to go.

What camps did you attend last summer?

I attended OU’s camp and OSU’s camp.

What will be the determining factor in choosing your school?

Building a great relationship with the coaches, somewhere with great academics. I like a school with great tradition,  somewhere where I can call that school home for the next 4 years of my career.

What areas do you need to improve on this summer?

Areas that I need to improve on this summer is my speed and getting stronger in the weight room, also going out there every day and taking that leadership role.

Steven is one of the top safeties in the country. With his superb tackling and coverage ability it’s easy to see why he earned major BCS conference offers from the likes of Alabama, OU and Texas.
