Sooner State DE Commits to LSU

LSU has been a factory for high level defensive lineman for quite some time now and on Monday night they added Douglass HS (OK) DE Deondre Clark to their 2014 commitment list.

Clark committed to the Tigers over offers from Oklahoma, Oklahoma St, Texas A&M, Alabama and USC.

The Tigers pursued Clark and viewed him as a perfect fit for their defensive line and someone that could make a difference on their defense somewhere down the line. He is a fast and disruptive defensive end that can get to the quarterback in a hurry while also lending support in the run game.

Defensive line is a need position for LSU in 2014 and Clark is roughly considered one of the top Defensive End prospects in the country. LSU HC Les Miles and the remainder of the Tigers coaching staff targeted Clark as a need player and put tons of time into his recruitment.

Clark is a 4 star prospect that plays with an aggressive mentality and has the speed to wreck havoc on SEC offense’s for years to come. He is the 1st defensive lineman to commit to the Tigers in 2014.

The recruiting process is still ongoing so Clark is sure to continue to see college coaches pursue him regardless of his commitment. The addition of Clark to the LSU recruiting class is huge and he could turn out to be a full time starter for the duration of his college career.

Offers: LSU (Committed), Alabama, Arizona, Baylor, Clemson, Georgia, Missouri, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Okla. St, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, USC and Wash. St.
