Calif. lineman Sharif Williams picks up three offers in four days

Central (Fresno, Calif.) lineman Sharif Williams reeled in three offers in a four-day period this past week.

On Thursday San Diego State offered the Class of 2014 lineman, the following day Houston offered and Sunday Nevada extended an offer to him. Including the Arizona offer he already held, he now has a total of four offers on the table.

“I was happy all my hard work is paying off,” Williams said following the eventful weekend.

Williams plays on both the offensive and defensive lines for his high school team but San Diego State is the only school that has specifically told him it would like him to play on the offensive side of the ball. The 6-foot-3, 300-pounder said the Aztecs’ offense is a system he could excel in and he’s happy to have options available to him.

Houston envisions him playing on the defensive side and neither Arizona or Nevada has told his which side of the ball they would like him on.

Although Scout.com reports he has an offer from San Jose State, he said he was never directly told that.
