A talented and versatile athlete, Lewis also plays basketball. (view basketball film here) He’s a shooting guard that averages 15 point per game.

He spoke about what he likes about the Hurricanes.

“I talk to Tracy Howard and Malcolm Lewis all the time about Miami. They tell me about the program and that they think they can be pretty good this year. They both dedicated themselves in the offseason to getting better,” Lewis said. “Overall, I think Miami has a good program.”

He mentioned what he likes about West Virginia. “Geno Smith and Stedman Bailey attended WVU. I think it’s a good offense for receivers.”

Lewis told Varsity Preps he’s unclear which other programs are recruiting him currently, saying that his coach is helping him navigate his recruitment. He mentioned that he’s completely wide open and welcomes any new interest.

The junior standout didn’t attend any summer camps because of an injury, but reports he’s been cleared and is practicing with Miramar. Lewis discussed what he feels the Patriots are capable of this fall.

“We have a lot of weapons. We’re deep at running back and receiver, the offensive line will productive for us, so I expect we’ll be difficult to handle. Individually, my goals are to have 800 yards receiving and score 15 touchdowns, making first team All-Broward,” he stated. “As a team, we need to focus on winning our district games, get ourselves into the playoffs, and earn a state championship.”
