Updated: Trevon Lewis was a force to be reckoned during the 2016 season in the secondary. His hardwork and determination to be the best player for his team and his teammates did not go unnoticed as he garnered The Defensive Player of the Year Award for the Greater Houston Area. Trevon holds two offers: University of Central Arkansas and Prairie View AM. This is a young man that will surely be productive at the next level for a college team!
The 6’0″ 175 pounds junior of Lamar High School in Houston, Tx is definitely one to watch on the defensive side of the ball. He has a nose for the football and is a very physical player who is not afraid to stick his head in traffic. Lewis is relentless in his pursuit to the football and combined with good open field tackling, that is also showcased on special teams as well as from his deep free safety position, that usually culminate in a collision.
The Houston native dreams of extending his career at the University of Houston but is open minded enough to see how his options will play out for his future. As of right now he has not received any recruitment or been on any visits, but with his Nike verified 4.6 40 speed, his plans to attend the Adidas GA showcase, Nike The Open, Rivals, satellite camp, and Jr. day at Houston this summer all of that is sure to change.
And although his heart starts with his hometown of Houston and then extending to the state of Texas, Lewis says that playing close to home is not a deal maker or breaker and that his favorite football conference is the SEC. Lewis has a decent GPA (2.64) and good game that should translate good to the next level. @tre98_24.
