Scouting Report

Hall has good quickness inside with a very explosive first step that gives offensive lineman fits.

Hall is also disruptive in the running game and is excellent in getting to the ball carrier, but also strong enough to be an asset against the passing game.

The 2014 DL showed great versatility against Edna Karr in the playoffs, playing inside, and outside in a 4 man front.

The strength of Hall’s game is defending the run.  Reminds me a lot of Louisiana 5A Defensive MVP Antonio McGee when it comes to defending the run.

In pass-rush situations, he occasionally engages blockers too long instead of using his hands and strength to get around the blocker. That will improve after summer camps and workouts.

Look for Hall to have a few offers to decide from this February.

If this district 1-4A MVP was a couple of inches taller,  he very well could have offers from all over the country.

Peterson can deliver the football from in or outside of the pocket.

Peterson has good velocity on his short and intermediate routes and has a strong arm and great touch on the deep ball.

Peterson does well at keeping his eyes downfield and throws the ball extremely while rolling right or left.

He also seems to be a great decision-maker when running the zone read and speed option from the spread. He has good speed, and is tough to bring down.

Peterson: “I need to get better foot work.”

“I’m going to camps hoping that I can learn how to read defenses better.”

“My goal for this year is to win a State Championship.”

Hall: “A few coaches came out to see me this spring.”

“The NUC and the NFTC were great experiences. I learned when you show up to camp, you have to treat it like it’s a Friday night football game.”

Side notes

Hall’s summer camp plans:  La Tech, ULL, Oklahoma State, NUC  U100, Miss State and LSU.

Northwood lost in the playoffs to 4A State Champion Edna Karr in the second round.

Northwood has two sophomores on Varsity Preps 2015 watch list: Ladante Davenport 6’3 270 DL and -Kwaume McGee CB 6’0, 170.

Peterson was one of the leading rushers in the Shreveport-Bossier City Metro

Peterson camped at Baylor and LA Tech last summer.  Plans on attending ULL, Texas A&M, ULM, LSU and La Tech camps this summer.

Peterson’s favorite is Arkansas State. “I love their offense.”

Hall’s favorites are Central Arkansas and Grambling State.

I look for both Peterson and Hall to sign LOI in Feb 2014.
