Nick McCann Commits to Texas Tech

The summer commitment season is in full swing in Arkansas, as it is around the country. Schools are picking up the best in Arkansas and the most recent trend is that it isn’t being done by Arkansas schools. Last week the top running back in the state, Damarea Crockett, was scooped up by Boise State, now the number three defensive tackle has committed to the Red Raiders of Texas Tech. That man is Nick McCann of Texarkana.

McCann, a six-foot-two-inch, 290 pound DT, became the Red Raiders 20th commit on Tuesday. McCann will be one of the crown jewels of Kliff Kingsbury 2016 Class, which should be a top-45 class in the country and a top-six class in the Big 12.

McCann is the eighth #ARPreps 16 For 16 player to commit to a Division 1 FBS team. There are sure to be more as we get closer to the end of the summer recruiting cycle.
