Marqwell Odom “Heart Of A Lion”

The front runners in District 7-AAA are few for this high school football season.

Both Blackman and Oakland — you pick the order

In today’s college football recruiting world, we tend to get caught up on the measurables of a prospect. Sometimes we overlook the intangibles, can a prospect play, how big is his heart, is he a smart player and is he a game changer? Marqwell Odem is a game changer……….

Odem is not the biggest, not the fastest, but he’s a football player. The 2017 athlete can be plugged in at many different positions on the football field.  This past season at Riverdale high school, Odem played just about every position that you think of on the field. Not only did he just play those positions, he played them very well.

Odem doesn’t have any offers yet, but he is sure to catch the eye of college football recruiters during his sophomore season.

“Right now I like Tennessee, Nebraska, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Clemson and MTSU.”

“Tennessee has a great stadium and great atmosphere I’ve always wanted to be a Vol.”

The 2017 athlete looks to take a few unofficial visits this upcoming football season. The most important part of making his decision right now will be based on academics, coaches, they atmosphere, and the above programs tradition.

“I’ve always like Nebraska too, their program as a winning tradition.”
