Louisville is Dream School for Rushing

Late Thursday night 2014 Cardinal Gibbons HS (FL) WR George Rushing received an official offer from Louisville HC Charlie Strong and after having a day to think about the South Florida wide out decided the Cardinals was the place for him.

Rushing (6’1 180lbs) is a hotly pursued prospect that received multiple offers from Division 1 schools but saw an opportunity at Louisville as being something to great to pass up.

“I am 100% committed to Louisville and I couldn’t be happier about having the chance to play my college football in the red & white,” said Rushing. “Louisville is my dream school and an offer I have been patiently waiting on. I am completely sold on them and I have no plans on going back on my decision.”

The Cardinals had long been a favorite of Rushing and a program that he always thought could be a good fit for him. He had received lite attention from Louisville throughout the winter and spring but saw the interest pick up as Rushing began to send more info out to coaches.

Several South Florida players have made a home at Louisville and Rushing wants to continue that tradition with his commitment.

“Coach Strong does a great job of recruiting down in my area and the players that are there have succeeded in a big way. I trust that when I am up there Coach Strong and the rest of the coaching staff will do a great job of making me the best player I can be, Rushing said.”

Rushing has seen tons of coaches come visit him at school and spring practice throughout the past two weeks and more than likely will continue to do so for the remainder of his process.

There is a lot to like about Rushing and his potential on the next level. He has good size along with the ability to get deep into the defensive secondary. His talents have been recognized as D1 certified and Louisville could be getting a steal of a prospect that has yet to reach his maximum abilities.

The plan for Rushing is to enjoy the rest of his recruitment while remaining loyal to the Cardinals. He is set to take an unofficial visit up to Louisville in June and that will be the first time he sets foot on his future college home.

“I love the idea of being a future Louisville Cardinal and my commitment to them is as good as gold,” said Rushing. “I am going up there in June and that trip is something I am really looking forward to.”

“It will be a chance to see the campus, visit the facilities and get the opportunity to see the city of Louisville. I have been a fan of them for a while so when I head up there it will only solidify my decision to spend my college life with them.”
