Louisiana Players Receive U.S. Army National Combine Team Honors

The U.S. Army National Combine takes place each year in San Antonio, TX during the week of the U.S. Army Bowl.  The combine features 600 of the nation’s top underclassmen.  The two day event consist of drills and skill challenges that focus on speed, strength, quickness, and displaying the players skills.

This year fifteen of Louisiana’s most talented underclassmen where invited and attended the combine.   Four of those Louisiana players where named to the 247Sports All-Combine team for the 2016 U.S. Army National Combine Team:

1st Team – Defensive Back

2017 DB Brad Stewart 6’1″ 190 lbs  McDonogh 35 New Orleans, Louisiana

1st Team – Quarterback

2017 QB Jontre Kirklin 6’0″ 170 lbs  Lutcher High School Lutcher, Louisiana – Kirklin posted a 45-inch Vertical and a 10-foot broad jump during the skills competition.

Honorable Mention – Running Back

2017 RB Javin Myers 5’10” 190 lbs  Woodlawn High School Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Honorable Mention – Wide Receiver 

2017 WR Kendrick Paul 6’0″ 175 lbs  Livonia High School Livonia, Louisiana
