2014 Safety Jared Tucker On Commitment Watch

2014 DB Jared Tucker out of Stephenson High School in Safety Stone Mountain, Georgia has been officially placed on commitment watch. The 5’11’, 175 lbs DB is listed as a High 3 Star/Low 4 Star, but is considered one of the “gems” of the 2014 Recruiting Class. Most major universities have caught wind of this prospect, despite being underrated. Schools such as Florida, Ohio State, South Carolina, Louisville, Tennessee, Kentucky, Miami (Fl), Ole Miss, etc. have all extended scholarship offers. With an offer list of a 5 Star prospect, this kid is obviously good…really good. Interest has been getting brought in from most major schools in America, and with this, I would expect a huge shoot up in the rankings in the near future for Tucker. That being said, Tucker is taking a visit to the University of Kentucky today, which makes it the second on campus for the Safety out of Georgia. I spoke with Jared on Monday night about the visit, who said he is extremely interested Kentucky. Jared says that he wanted to go up to UK again so he can speak to all of the coaches, and get comfortable in the system. He says he is looking to get a feel for the new staff brought in, which he is extremely impressed in. He says he is still looking around at other schools, but says if he feels as if UK is the place for him today, there is a chance he may commit. I have spoken with several recruits who are great friends with Jared, who all say he wants to join them at Kentucky. If Jared does, in fact, pledge his commitment to the Wildcats, this means that Kentucky will likely shoot up to around the #12 spot in the Team Recruiting Rankings among various services, the highest ever for UK. Jared is a star in the making, and we will see if he will try and make this a reality suiting up for the blue and white at UK. I will give updates today throughout his visit, and, of course, if he makes his commitment. Stay tuned.
