Jamiyus Pittman Commits to Ole Miss

Earlier this week 2014 DT Jamiyus Pittman (Colquitt Co. HS, Ga) took an unofficial visit to the University of Mississippi and it didn’t take him long to give his commitment to the Rebels.

Pittman pledged to Ole Miss on Thursday night and became the Rebels 10th official commit for the 2014 recruiting class.

HC Hugh Freeze and the rest of the Rebels coaching staff signed off an offer that came Pittman’s way earlier this year and continued to pursue even harder throughout the following months.

Pittman always thought favorably of Ole Miss and was eager to make a visit to their campus. Once he stepped on campus he immediately fell in love and quickly began to think about a commitment.

He made his way back home and after a few days of debating whether or not he wanted to make a decision Pittman pulled the trigger. His commitment is a big one for the Rebels as his size at 6’2 285 lbs gives Ole Miss a strong and athletic player to plug into their defensive line.

Pittman is a fast rising prospect that his seen his stock sore within the past couple of weeks. Several BCS level schools have offered while others are evaluating him for further recruitment. His commitment is non binding but as it stands today, Pittman is solid to Ole Miss and isn’t looking to change his mind.

Offers: Ole Miss (Committed), Arkansas, Kentucky, Miami, Mississippi St, NC State and UCF. Schools Interested: Auburn, Florida, Florida St, Georgia, Ga Tech, Lousiville, Marshall, Wake Forest and Wisconsin.
