Jalen Bates “About To Blow Up.”

 

2015 ATH Jalen Bates (6’6, 240) Of Kaplan High School currently holds offers from La Tech and Louisiana Lafayette.  He’s hearing frequently from Southeastern, Southern and most of the Louisiana schools.

The 2015 stud told Varsity Preps that ULL is showing him a lot of attention.

“ULL sends me a lot of mail they are probably recruiting me the hardest right now. I took a visit over there for their Jr day,” he said. I really love their campus and my older sister attends school there too.”

 Highlights

Bates said he doesn’t know that much about La Tech, but the Bulldogs have done a decent job staying touch.

“La Tech was the first school to offer me. I’ve had a couple of conversations with the d-line coach and it seems like a really good program.

Bates said there are few other programs that he wants to hear from.

“I would love to hear from programs like Auburn, Clemson, UCLA, LSU, Oklahoma State, Alabama, Miss State and Texas A&M.”

 

Bates discussed the factors that will be important to him in the recruiting process.

“I would really like to come in and have a chance to play as a true freshman. Academics will also play a big role in my decision. I plan to make my decision right after football season.”

 

He detailed his offseason plans which include gaining weight, getting stronger and faster.

“I have a lot of work to do this off-season. I would like to get bigger, stronger and faster.  If I work hard this summer, I will be able to help my team go deep into the playoffs.
