Jack Jones Commits to Tennessee

2015 Oakland HS (TN) OT Jack Jones picked up an offer from Tennessee earlier this week and it did not take him long to jump on that offer and give his commitment to the Volunteers.

Jones pledged his services Thursday night to the Vols and became the 3rd official commitment for Tennessee in their 2015 recruiting class.

HC Butch Jones and the Tennessee coaching staff has been putting a big emphasis on recruiting their home state and viewed Jones as one of the top prospects in the state regardless of classification.

Standing 6’5 272lbs, Jones already has the look of an SEC offensive lineman along with the frame to add the needed weight to compete on the BCS level. Jones is a heavily recruited prospect that will continue to see coaches come his way even with his commitment to Tennessee.

Oakland HS in Murfreesboro, TN has tons of talent placed on their team and Jones could have the biggest potential amongst all his teammates. He is still growing into his body but sports outstanding athleticism and along with the ability to get to the second level.

Jones quietly had always been a Tennessee fan. The Vols offer is something Jones had long been waiting for and always thought a commitment would be possible if the offer ever came.

He joins OL Zach Stewart and Ath Jay Woods as 2015 commitments for Tennessee. Jones is only headed into his junior season but already looks to be one of the top overall prospects in the state of Tennessee and could also turn out being one of the top lineman in the entire southeast region.

Offers: Tennessee (Committed), Georgia Tech and MTSU. Schools Interested: Auburn, Duke, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisville, Memphis, Mississippi St, North Carolina, Ohio St, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Vanderbilt and Western Kentucky.
