Duke Adds Taylor to Commitment List

After talking it over with his parents and having a night to sleep on things, 2014 University School (FL) WR Chris Taylor gave his commitment to Duke University on Tuesday morning and he couldn’t be more relieved with the thought of becoming a Blue Devil.

“I am excited to be an official commitment to Duke and I think they are the perfect fit for me,” said Taylor. “They offered me last week and since then I had been thinking heavily about committing to Duke. I love the coaching staff and see myself becoming a great player for them down the road.”

Taylor is an athletic wide out that has seen his recruitment go into a positive direction over the past few weeks. He collected the offer from Duke and immediately began to see where he would fit into their program.

He is strong in his academics and saw Duke as a place that would not only help in excel in the classroom but also on the football field.

“I really like the combination of academics and athletics at Duke and believe they have everything I need to succeed in college,” Taylor said. “My goal is to graduate from college with a tremendous degree but also hopefully have the chance to play in the NFL.”

It wasn’t a hard decision for Taylor to make when committing to Duke. He had collected several offers from Division 1 programs but Duke looked to be the clear leader after they officially offered.

Taylor seems to be solid on his commitment and has no plans on changing his mind anytime soon.

“Duke is my school and I am fully committed to them. I have no plans to change my mind unless something crazy happens like the coaches leaving or my scholarship being taken away. I am a Blue Devil and I am look forward to my college life in the Atlantic Coast Conference, Taylor said.”
