Desmond Barmore “Man Among Boys”

Year after year, the state of Georgia produces some of the biggest and best offensive linemen on the country.

At the top of this year’s list is Desmond Barmore.  This mammoth, 6’7 300 OL, has been relatively unknown up until this point. But, after an impressive summer on the camp circuit, look to hear Barmore’s name more.

Barmore’s lists his top schools choices as:

1) Georgia State

2) Louisiana Lafayette

3) San Diego State

4) East Carolina

5) Southern Miss

6) App State

Barmore told Varsity Preps about the front runner for his services.

“I would have to say that Georgia State is the leader as of now.” It is an up-and-coming program, great coaches, great players, great recruits, and it is in a great city.  The coaches always check up on me! They always want to know how camp and school are going.”

While Barmore lists GSU as his leader there is still a dark horse in the mix.

“I would have to say that ULL is a close second. Coach Hudspeth is recruiting me, and he’s a good Coach.”

Barmore plans to take all of his official visits before making his decision. There are a few determining factors in making his college choice:

“Early playing time, education, coaches and the community surrounding the team!”

The 2014 standout also believes there might be an SEC offer waiting for him. Barmore camped at Bama, Auburn and Louisville this summer.

“I feel like I’m really close to an SEC offer. “I need to work on my run blocking, strength and foot speed. And I’ll get that SEC offer.”
