DeAndre Ryan and Chad Gilchrist: Turning Heads for 2016.

The 2014 season is coming to an end, or in many cases, has already come to an end. Excitement, though, is already starting to build for the 2015 season and the 2016 recruits that will sign letters of intent on national signing day. For the fans of Strom Thurmond High School in Johnson, South Carolina they have reasons to be excited. Two of those reasons are DeAndre Ryan who plays all over the field for the Rebels and the other is Chad Gilchrist who has logged time at both the running back and defensive end spots.
The film on both is very impressive to take a look at and review.

DeAndre Ryan is a young man that can play all over the field. DeAndre runs very good routes and has solid hands. Ryan can make a tough catch look very easy and can be a nightmare to bring down in the open field. DeAndre lined up as a cornerback this year on top of lining up at the receiver spot and spending some limited time at quarterback. DeAndre is a very humble and respectful young man who I enjoyed talking with. Ryan wants to make sure that Strom Thurmond High School football continues to improve over the course of the next season and, in the process, his game will improve as well as the attention he attracts from recruiters.

Ryan’s friend and teammate, Chad Gilchrist, is a very intriguing 2016 recruit. Gilchrist played the running back and the defensive end spots for Strom Thurmond this season. Gilchrist is a physical runner and does not go down on the initial hit when carrying the football. Chad has the speed on the offensive or defensive side of the ball to cause problems for the opposing teams. Gilchrist wants to work on his speed and improve his agility over the course of the next year. Gilchrist is very similar to DeAndre in that both young men are very polite and, in some cases, they are their harshest critics. I like for both DeAndre and Chad to be on recruiting radars by the summer of 2015.

The fine folks at SleeperRecruit.com have done a terrific job in helping these young men prepare for the next level. However, SleeperRecruit.com does not just help improve recruits’ abilities on the field, they also will remind the students of ACT/SAT test dates and give tips on improving the academic side of the athletes’ lives. SleeperRecruit has made it much easier for sports writers and recruiting reporters to help publicize these players to coaches and fans. I look for big things out of DeAndre, Chad, and SleeperRecruit in the future. Be sure to check out all of the great athlete profiles on SleeperRecruit.com. Keep an eye on DeAndre and Chad I expect you will be hearing and seeing more out of both these young men in the not too distant future!
