CaVontae Critton “Heart Of A Lion”

2014 RB CaVonte Critton (5’7, 165) of Haynesville High in Louisiana piled up 1,553 yards rushing and 23 TD’s last season. Critton was named first team All-State was in recognition of his outstanding junior campaign.

Critton reports he hasn’t been offered yet, but that he’s hearing consistently from Mississippi State, Southern Miss, Eastern New Mexico State, LA Tech, Rochester and Northwestern State.

The speedy running back spoke about  a few of the programs interested in his services.

“I really like Mississippi State, I was at their junior day this spring.  I would love to play for them.”

Northwestern State is recruiting him the hardest currently.

“I am going down to the next ULM camp later this month. Hopefully I’ll get my first offer then.”

Critton has some lofty goals for this upcoming season. He hopes to lead his team back to the state championship game this season. Haynesville was defeated by OCS in the Supersome in December.

“My goals are to rush for over 2’000 yards and have 30 TD’s. We also want to bring a state championship back to Haynesville.”

Critton will never be the biggest player on the field. But he will always be the biggest playmaker.

Haynesville High School has won 15 State titles. State runner up 7 times.

Critton is currently living in Lake Charles, using the same trainer as top 2014 WR Trey Quinn.

“Cavonte is training on the Vertimax. You can see that he’s more explosive,” said Crittons father.

One of the best highlights films ever

Could be compared to New Orleans Saints star Darren Sproles.
