Calif. ATH Mariscal takes unofficial visit to Fresno State

Liberty (Bakersfield, Calif.) running back/cornerback Anthony Mariscal decided to be beat the crowds and take an unofficial visit to Fresno State last Friday—the day before Junior Day.

Mariscal made the trip with a handful of his Los Angeles-based B2G training partners. By going a day early, Marsical was able to have more individualized attention, while meeting with the coaching staff.

“I was able to have an evaluation period with (running backs) coach Joe Wade, (secondary) coach Marcus Woodson and (special teams and defensive line) coach Pete Germano,” Mariscal said. “I became familiar with the coaching staff. It was a great experience.”

Mariscal left his visit with a positive impression of Fresno State.

“Overall I really liked everything about their football program and school,” Mariscal said about the Bulldogs.

The Fresno State coaching staff told Mariscal he was high in their recruiting boards and he should hear more from them at end spring.

Mariscal will also be going to Arizona State this Saturday for an unofficial visit.
