Brad Beavers: A Passion for the Game

Covering high school football in Arkansas is a privilege and I enjoy the opportunity and the people I meet on the road. During week 1 of the high school football season, I was covering the Pea Ridge-Elkins game and was able to visit with one young man about the game he loves to play. Over the past few weeks, Pea Ridge have proven that this is an improved football team that will make some noise in conference play this football season. We are going to take a look at Pea Ridge linebacker Brad Beavers in this profile.
From a football perspective, Brad is what most coaches look for when it comes to filling the linebacker position. Beavers is a 6’1” 200lbs junior at Pea Ridge High School, and the size and quickness Brad possess are what most college coaches are looking for in a linebacker today. Brad has good versatility and very instincts. He is, without a doubt, a student of the game. Beavers knows what he has to do to improve his game and what areas he needs to focus attention on to be a better player. I look for Brad to continue to draw the interest of scouts this season as word spreads about the type of player and person he is. Brad has already impressed quite a few coaches at Henderson State and at the Arkansas Razorback camps he has attended.
Brad’s work ethic and love for the game will take him far. He is a determined young man and I expect big things from him. Brad is a high character young man. I believe he will be an asset to his high school and college coaches as they recognize this is someone we want assuming a leadership position on the team. Brad also works with younger kids and wants to serve as a mentor to kids as he gets older. I look for Brad to continue to rise in the ranks and become a top notch linebacker as the year goes on. He will likely become a nightmare for offensive coordinators over the next year. Be forewarned because the best is yet to come for this young man!
