A’shon Riggins “Rising Two Sport Prospect”

2016 ATH A’shon Riggins is the type of athlete that college recruiters drool over. The 6’1 170 ATH doubles as Quarterback and Defensive back for Hamilton High school in Hamilton Ohio.

The talented multi-sport athlete is now picking up interests from major conference programs for football and basketball.

“I’m hearing from Tennessee, Notre Dame, Florida State, Northwestern, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Penn State and Iowa for football. I’m also hearing from Arizona, DePaul, Dayton and Xavier for basketball.”

Riggins isn’t sure whether he’ll play basketball or football in college, but he’s keeping both options open for now.

“I’m really not interested in any schools that will allow me to play both sports, I’m going to have to choose at some point in time.”

He recently took his first unofficial visit to Tennessee and came away impressed with the coaching staff.

“Tennessee was a really good experience. I like that Butch Jones is really working hard to bring in good recruiting classes.  He’s really trying to build their program by playing young players too.  With a new coaching staff, new offense and a new defense, the program will only get better.”
