2015 Georgia DT Attended Iron Bowl

2015 DT Brentavious Glanton (6’3, 263, 4.6 shuttle) of Monroe High in Albany, GA recorded 65 tackles and eight sacks last season. He doesn’t claim any offers yet, but reports he’s hearing from Auburn, Missouri, Temple, and Western Kentucky.

Glanton spoke about the SEC interest.

Auburn is my favorite right now, I like them the most. I attended the Iron Bowl and the games against Georgia and Ole Miss,” he said. “The atmosphere at all three games was electric, and some fans recognized me and showed me some love.

Missouri is sending me a lot letters right now. I like how the Tigers play defense and how they have things structured in their program.”

The big lineman bench presses 315 pounds and squats 475 currently. Glanton said he wants to play at 275 pounds as a senior and added he’ll see some time at defensive end in 2014.

He talked about what he feels his best attributes are and what he wants to improve on in the coming months before spring practice.

“I feel like I’m good at using my hands and getting off the line of scrimmage,” he said. “This offseason, I’m concentrating on becoming quicker so I can chase down plays more effectively.”

Glanton will make the rounds on the camp and combine circuit this spring and summer.

“I’ll camp at Auburn for sure, and I’m thinking about Georgia and Florida St. I’ll also attend Under Armour combine.”

When choosing a program, a few factors will come into play.

“I want to feel like I’m at home, so the atmosphere around a program is important to me, and I want to attend a university that has a solid medical program. I have a 3.3 GPA, so academics will hold some importance, too.”

He’s scheduled take an entrance exam in February.
