2016 ATH Isaac Nauta Already Receiving BCS Offers

Many have already heard about 2017 LB/RB phenom Dylan Moses receiving offers from LSU and Alabama, without having played a single down in high school. But the 2016 class also has a phenom of such, and he has high school experience under his belt.

Isaac Nauta is a 6-4, 240-pound ninth grader out of Buford, Georgia who plays both tight end and defensive end.

Nauta recently received his 4th BCS offer yesterday from the University of Michigan, becoming the first freshman to do so. “It’s really humbling and it really is an honor to be shown interest from a school like Michigan this early in the game,” says Nauta.

He says he hasn’t had much contact with Michigan, but says they offered him off his film and potential. “I plan on taking a visit up there in June.”

Michigan isn’t the only major program on the freshman either. He has offers from Virginia TechTennessee and Clemson. “I also have been shown interest from Alabama, Florida State, Georgia and Florida.”

Most sites regard him as the top 2016 prospect so far, though much evaluation is yet to be completed. “It’s really cool, but above all else humbling,” Nauta said. “I just work hard and do my best on the field, but so far it’s been a really fun experience.”

Although Nauta plays tight end and defensive end, he says he wants to be a tight end on the next level. He recorded seven sacks and six touchdown receptions this past season. “I’ll head to Georgia, then up to Tennessee and I’ll try to go up to Clemson soon,” Nauta said. “I also will seriously consider attending Michigan.”
