2015 Pro-style quarterback Kyle Kearns names an early top three

The majority of Division 1 programs around the country are still searching for a signal caller for the 2014 class, still this doesn’t stop them from looking ahead to 2015.

One of the top quarterbacks in the 2015 class, Kyle Kearns of Foothill High School (Pleasanton, Calif.) has been receiving interest from many top programs.

“The top schools showing me a lot of interest are UCLA, Michigan, Georgia, Cal, and Boise State,” Kearns said.

The 6-foot-3, 185-pound pro-style quarterback has already taken unofficial visits to UCLA and Cal.

“I think UCLA, Georgia, and Cal are the three schools that really stand out,” Kearns said. “I think those are my top three because their offenses are similar to the type of offense we run at my school. UCLA and Cal both have awesome campuses and great academics. They are a quarterback’s dream.”

Kearns believes UCLA and Cal are close to offering him a scholarship, but said they first want to see him throw at camps this summer. He has yet to visit Georgia.

Georgia is in the SEC which seems to be the best conference in college football,” Kearns said. “They are a throw-first offense. It seems like an offense I can see myself in at Georgia. I’m trying to make it to one of their camps.”

Schools like Texas, Texas A&M, Ohio State, Michigan State, Arizona, and Arizona State are also high on Kearns’ list, but he has yet to receive interest from them.

“I’m going to try and make a verbal before my senior year,” Kearns said. “If everything works out by then, but I’m not going to push the verbal. I want to make sure I verbal to a school I really like and see myself fitting in well at.”
