Tallahassee Lincoln ATH Darius Harvey Up to Four Offers

2014 ATH Darius Harvey (5’11, 180, 4.53) of Tallahassee Lincoln claims verbal offers from Florida Atlantic, Florida International, Samford, and Howard.

Harvey spoke about the programs that have offered him.

FAU wants me at defensive back and told me I can play as a true freshman.

FIU wants me to play corner as well.

Howard wants me to play offense and Samford is undecided which side of the ball they want me on.”

Harvey told Varsity Preps he’s also hearing from UAB and Georgia St.

UAB wants me to play corner and that I could play early.”

Tallahassee Lincoln’s talented athlete, who sports a 3.0 GPA, had a chance to visit a few programs over the summer break.

“I didn’t camp as much as I wanted to because of a toe injury, but I camped at UAB, FAU, and Samford,” he explained. “I loved my visit to FAU. I like Boca Raton, the coaches are good, and that’s a program that could rise quickly.

“I camped at UAB. The coaches wanted me to participate, so I played both wideout and corner.”

Harvey said he has no favorites currently and is open to new interest.

During the offseason, Lincoln’s senior quarterback said he improved his leadership skills and concentrated on developing that ability.

“I had to step up into that role. I feel that it’s my job to keep everyone calm, go out there on Friday nights, make plays and make good decisions that gives my team the chance to win games.”

Harvey’s goals as a senior are to lead his team into the state playoffs and extend his football career.

“The goal is always to win a state championship at Lincoln,” he said. “My second goal is to position myself to go to college by playing football.”
