2014 DB/WR Malik Beachum Getting Interest from PAC-12

One of the top two-way players on the west coast is Malik Beachum of American Canyon High, Class of 2014. Malik is quietly gaining ground on the recruiting scene attending various college camps. He doesn’t have any offers yet, but after watching Beachum’s film, he is hands down one of the best in the Bay Area. Malik has rare ability when it comes to playing the ball in the air. He’s very explosive off the line, very competitive. Standing 5-foot-10, Beachum shows time and again he beats defenders for the jump ball in single coverage. Needs to work on his top end speed, but still able to blow the top off a defense with his quickness.
Defensively, Beachum is very physical in the run game and displays play-makeing ability with soft hands. Beachum’s patience and hips allow him to play very aggressive in the passing game. Didn’t play a lot of press coverage at American Canyon High School, but still displays the technique to play aggressive with WRs at the line of scrimmage.

Natural size is what Malik Beachum is lacking, but has great upside at the next level at WR/DB. His GPA  is 2.7. Schools showing interest are Oregon, Cal, Duke, USC, Arizona St., Arizona, and Boise State, but is still looking for his first offer which should be coming soon.
