2014 CB Dorian Clark Hearing from Auburn, Duke, and Florida Atlantic

2014 CB Dorian Clark (5’11, 177, 4.58/40, 4.38 shuttle, 32′ vertical) of Baldwin High in Jacksonville, Florida is hearing from Liberty, Penn, Florida Atlantic, Louisiana Tech, Duke, and Auburn.

The quick, talented corner will attend Junior Days at Auburn and FAU and intends to camp at Duke, FIU, FAU, and several other state university camps.

Baldwin’s talented athlete also plays point guard on the basketball team averaging 10 points per game.

Clark, who carries a 3.4 GPA, told Varsity Preps that academics will be the most important factor when choosing a program. “Academics come first at home. After football, I have to have something to fall back on because I can’t play football forever.”

Early playing will also factor into his decision making. “I’d say that’s my second factor for me. I want to be in a position to contribute right away.”

Playing smart, Clark said, is the strength of his game. “I also feel I have quick feet. Over the offseason, I’m really concentrating on bringing down my 40 time.”

Clark is keeping in football shape by playing 7-on-7 football for the River City Kings, a team located in Jacksonville. “Linebacker Kain Daub (#4 Elite 75 in FL, #1 LB) and WR Jarry Williams (2014 Watch List) are on the team. They’re both great players.”

He does have an idea when he’d like to have a final decision made. “I want to be committed before my senior season starts and end the process so I can focus on my last year at Baldwin.”
